Grades

Grades offered by Fonderies de Sougland

We master over 300 grades of cast iron and steel with varied properties that can be used for different types of applications:

• Ductile iron, grey cast iron or compacted graphite iron: with good mechanical properties, resistance to wear, vibrations, and/or impacts and with a structure suited to meet your specifications.
• Ferritic, austenitic and white cast irons: for use in specific applications for resistance to wear, oxidation or temperature.
• Low-carbon or mild steels: mechanical properties and wear resistance that can be adapted to your specifications, possibly by heat treatment.
• Heat-resistant steels for high-temperature applications.
• Stainless steels with good oxidation resistance in various environments.
• Super alloys, Nickel and Cobalt based alloys: resistance to very-high temperatures and to wear.

If the existing grades are not a perfect match to your conditions of use or if you would like to improve the performances of your parts in order to meet particularly demanding restrictions, our R&D department enables us to offer you the development of new grades specifically adapted to your requirements.
