The demands of our customers, technological transformations and the endlessly increasing technical nature of our products naturally led us to a quality approach, which began in 1999.

 

We fully believe that the sustainability of our business is linked to our customers’ satisfaction and to the involvement of our staff.

 

 

In order to achieve this, we undertake to :

  • Fulfil our customers’ requirements and outstrip their expectations in terms of technical complexity, delivery time, price and service.
  • Encourage the full participation of all staff within a well-defined organisation.
  • Add value to and capitalise on our know-how in order to be amongst the best in our trade.
  • Operate with a view to staff safety, performance and respect for the environment.

Our investments for improving Quality

Fonderies de Sougland has been modernising and improving the quality for several decades now.

Within the framework of the Strategic Development Plan, the 2014-2018 project includes 72 quality improvement undertakings.

 

A few examples of investment over the 2014-2016 period :

  • Redevelopment of trimming, melting, modelling and the casting workshops
  • Creation of a customer stock and relocation of tools.
  • Redevelopment of the sorting, prototype, model and control zones.
  • Enlargement of the offices (R&D, DO, Measurements department, Meeting room).
  • Integration of a three-dimensional measurement machine.
  • Selection of our suppliers.
  • Qualification and annual audits of our sub-contractors.

Our Competitivity and Performance Plan

A table has been set up (see photo opposite) in each workshop and department since 2015, allowing for the daily monitoring and measurement of :

  • Scheduling compliance
  • Production quality
  • Timekeeping

 

Every morning, managers measure the variance per workshop and inter-workshops, and analyse the causes of this, in order to then implement corrective actions.

This mechanism is also an excellent (Quality) Management tool.

All our improvement works, our projects and our new processes involve Quality Management, Environmental Conservation, accident hazard prevention and energy savings.

We are committed to a certification and labelling approach with various organisations and with our customers.

Our company is committed to energy management, via training/action. Our short-term aim is to obtain ISO 50001 (Energy Management) certification.
