Our QEPSE approach

Safeguarding Nature and Ecological Continuity
The Sougland threshold is a construction on the Gland River, which used to provide the driving energy for Fonderies de Sougland. At the beginning of 2011, Fonderies Sougland, who own the dam, envisaged a project to dismantle the construction, which is currently unused.
After discussions with all parties involved, the project was launched. These works, which lasted for three years were led by the Syndicats Intercommunal pour la Gestion du Bassin Versant de l’Oise Amont (Intercommunal Union for Managing the Upper Oise Catchment Basin). It is 100% financed by the Agence de L’Eau Seine Normandie (Seine-Normandy Water Agency).
The aim? Ensure ecological continuity by the free circulation of aquatic species, guarantee the natural transport of sediment along the water course from upstream to downstream, and thus allow fish, insects and crustaceans to move around, reproduce, feed, rest and be protected.
Our CSR approach
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an approach that Fonderies de Sougland has integrated for several years. Beyond mere statutory requirements, our company voluntarily bases its development on respect for social, environmental and economic values.
For a sustainable development, a concept today summarized by a single sentence: "development that meets current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs".
Recycling
Recycling plays a major role in respecting the environment and protecting the planet. We are committed to this approach, which has allowed manufactured parts to be recycled for several years by remelting to produce new ones.
Sustainable manufacturing
Every production line uses resources (raw material, energy), resulting in products with variable lifespans. Thanks to our research, we offer parts with an extended lifespan.
